I was going to call this blog "Our Funny Valentine,": because Ivy is certainly that.
And
then I was going to call it "Cutting Teeth" because Ivy has been having
a very tough time with her little toothies, and we've been feeding her
(cherry) tylenol to help with the pain. But
then I wanted to call it "SOLD" because after weeks and weeks and
months and months of dashed hopes and failed offers, we finally sold
our house! Ivy is so excited! She thinks she might get a pony!
There
may not be a pony, but at least we don't have to pay mortgage after
March (we hope -- the buyers take possession 27 Feb) and we're so happy
to have that horrible weight off our shoulders. We've got the money
nearly already spent, so we hope there aren't any problems between now
and then. Things seem final, and we're so relieved!
We've been
working on the house some more; here are a few photos of Ivy in the
living room. It's nice to have a house that is starting to feel like a
home. I am so glad to have a cleaning person come in once a week. I
don't know how I could manage if I had to do vacuum and dust and mop
and clean 3 bathrooms.
We continue to try to figure out how to balance childcare, school, and our personal lives. So that Josh and I can both get to school in good time, Ivy has started doing yoga with me.
I
miss taking class, but it's fun to share smiles with my baby during
downward-facing dog. At 16lbs, she also makes a great weight for
strengthening my arms and adding ab resistance!Ivy
is the best thing to come home to. We finish our long days at work and
spend the evenings with her. It's often a kind of mad rush to get an
errand done, play with her, feed her, and put her to bed.
We've also started giving her baths in the big tub. She finally outgrew the tummy tub (about 4
weeks ago, but we kept using it). She is a slippery little fish, but
we're getting her clean and shiny. She just keeps getting bigger and
prettier everyday. We need some bath toys for her.

My mommy thinks I'm a pretty pretty princess in pink.
Sometimes my daddy dresses me.
